{分享}菜鳥業務第二關

考取完保險從業人員執照之後，接下來學習的重點就在於如何幫客戶規劃保險，包含從如何分析客戶需求、規劃商品、計算保費…等等，原本我是個很害怕面對數字的人，因為我實在很不擅長計算數字的東西，學生的時候當社長也都把『管錢』這件事情丟給總務去打理，課業上數學更是我常常得靠重修才能過的科目，如今面對這個閃不掉的功課，只好硬著頭皮去闖。

一開始真的不太順利，怎麼每次我算出來的答案都跟別的同學不一樣（當然錯的那個通常是我），後來反覆的多練習，其實也慢慢的抓到那個要領與邏輯，其實我也可以算得對嘛。

到後來我常態性的以計算保額、保費作為我的工作內容的一部份，對計算金錢這種事情不但不再排斥與恐懼，反而感到有樂趣呢，畢竟算出來的東西如果能夠被客戶接受，不但是又幫助了一個人獲得保險或是財務的規劃，同時也會替自己帶來成就感與收入的提升。

可以這麼說，藉由這個歷練，我克服了對計算金錢數字的恐懼，把弱點強化成優點。

而數字觀念，尤其是牽涉到『金錢』的數字觀念，對一個創業家來說重不重要呢?您最好相信，那是非常重要的，小時候我看著父親在經營事業的時候，有時候會看到這樣的畫面..

財計主任將本月的財務報表整理好之後，交給了老闆，老闆打開來瞄了幾眼，不到五秒鐘就跟主任說：『這份報告的數字有錯，妳再回去重算一次』，主任一開始會不服氣的說：『這份報告我有核對過了，應該不會有錯』，而我那老爸只是用著輕描淡寫卻又堅定的口吻說：『妳再去算一次就對了』，主任只好回去再重算一次，結果果然數字有誤，幾次這樣的情況之後，下次老闆再請她再檢查修正，她就乖乖服氣的回去重新計算。

小時候我不太明白為何老爸可以不用敲計算機，就能夠快速鑑定出那ㄧ堆數字可能會有錯誤，我總以為那是老爸的天賦異稟，心算能力特優，長大之後自己當老闆，才明白一個道理，對於財會人員，計算錯一個數字，可能會換來一頓罵，然而對於盈虧自負的老闆來說，算錯一個數字的結果可能是流血割肉般的痛苦與損失。

就連美國的名演說家暨作家-哈維.麥凱也曾在他的長年暢銷書-攻心為上（又翻做與𠻻共泳-如何與商場對手競爭並合作）也特別強調對於數字觀念的重要性。

在這裡與大家分享一個小觀念，那就是如果要創業的話，可以嘗試著別太依賴計算機或是電腦去計算數字，多培養用頭腦心算、或是概算的能力。

我舉例以下幾個情境讓各位看倌想像看看…

您在跟客戶談一個案子，原本都談的好好的，此時客戶突然提出他的另外一個需求，是在你原先的規劃之外的，並且希望您當場給他一個價格，此時您要怎麼回覆他?

如果您要拿出計算機在他面前算，那個畫面會不會有點小尷尬?而且顯得您對於您的行業還沒到胸有成竹的專業，此外，如果他瞄了您計算機上的數字，他會不會從中去聯想您的底價是多少，好跟您殺價?難道您要轉過身去敲計算機嗎?

誠然，您也可以給他一個含糊的數字，然後告訴對方您回去算算看再告訴對方答案，然而在這個忙碌的工商社會，不是每個客戶都有時間等您再來拜訪一次、甚至是等您的一通電話，也許就在您打道回府的路上，這筆生意已經被別家的業務員叼走了。

如果您的心算概念很好，就可以在合約上直接修改（加蓋印章），然後就新的金額簽約，回去再補備註單給對方簽收就好，這樣是不是很好呢?

經營一家公司，從『一盤小生意』，到跨國的企業集團，數字概念永遠都是非常、非常、非常重要的事情，而且是不只在財務上重要，其他諸如..生產、行銷、人事、研發也全都要有數字概念。

當然只看數字有時候也會犯了一些迷思，然而如果經營一個事業連數字都沒得看、不仔細看、看不出哪裡可以改進、也不去看真正重要的數字，那豈不是大家在『憑自己的感覺做事情』?那是很恐怖的，當景氣好的時候，我們還可以窩在小小的可愛寶島當山大王，當全球化競爭一來的時候，就會看到一間間的公司被擊倒、一塊又一塊原本的肥美的市場被搶走。

後記:

寫這篇文章的這天，我早餐看著商業週刊寫到台灣原本是世界上蘭花市場的霸主，如今已經被荷蘭取而代之，他們用經營科技產業的方式在經營農業，把一株蘭花當作一片晶片在做品管與研發，以下引用商業周刊第1026期的一小段話（作者: 吳錦勳、李盈穎）

去年底，全荷蘭蝴蝶蘭栽培面積為七十五公頃。這不到台灣蝴蝶蘭溫室的二分之一，株數產量卻是台灣近兩倍，獲利是台灣的三倍以上。根據中興大學生物產業機電工程學系教授陳加忠計算，荷蘭的每公頃平均產量是台灣的三‧五六倍，淨利是台灣的六‧一倍！

看完之後，您的內心有什麼感覺?我看完之後，內心有一股惆悵，甚至在寫這篇文章的時候一度落淚，我是多麼的一直以台灣的農民為傲的啊，我總是一直相信台灣的農民是『世界第一等』，然而單純的相信並不能抵擋所有的威脅，就如同當年的義和團也不能光憑著信念就用血肉之軀去抵擋子彈。

不過，寫這些絕對不是只是要拿來發發牢騷，或是搞得大家很沮喪，而是光熙想要藉由寫這篇文章來呼籲出一些行動。

請更用心的去抓到『真正重要的數字』來管理事業。

如果您是公司的中階主管或是員工

您發現公司上層沒有做好『數字管理』，請『理直氣和』的建議上層如何去做好數字管理。
有人可能會問說：『我早就建議過啦，上面的人又聽不進去，那怎麼辦?』，這是個好問題，古人有云：『君子不立危牆之下』，這句話值得深思，大致上來說有三種辦法。

1.換工作，不過如果您事看不到、或不會看那間公司的財務數字，也有可能換到另外一個更大的『危牆』。

2.創業去，不過如果您連個人的財務數字都管理不好的話，有可能創業之後，自己成了別人的『危牆』。
